The Olgas, Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta is the other monolith near Uluru

The Olgas, Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta, also known as The Olgas, has 36 steep sided domes that make up the figure. It isn't very far from Uluru, only about 50km, or a 30 minute drive.

Composite Rock at The Olgas

It is made out of Conglomerate Rock, which is different from Uluru and Kings Canyon.

The Olgas Close up

This whole area is sacred under men's law of the Anangu. Details of the goings on cannot be spoken about to anyone who hasn't earned the right to know what the mens business is.

If this is too hard for you to understand, then think of it like Fight Club. What's the first rule of Fight Club? Exactly!

The Olgas rocky trails

The walk was the most challenging compared to Uluru base walk and Kings Canyon.

Valley of the Winds

The Valley of the Winds walk takes you through one last climb straight up through to middle of two of the figures.
